Where does limescale come from?
Hard water is loaded with calcium and magnesium. Combined with the carbon dioxide dissolved in water, these carbonates crystallise as calcite — that's limescale. The more limestone the water contains, the harder it is.
Limescale develops especially after a thermal shock. It settles in hot-water systems, taps and laundry, causes appliances to wear out prematurely, and can irritate the skin in the shower by promoting the absorption of chlorine.
Calcium & magnesium are good for you
These minerals are essential to health and aid digestion. They make water slightly alkaline and non-corrosive, and improve its nutritional quality. That's why EcoCrystal keeps them in the water instead of removing them.

Installed on your home's general water inlet, it protects your pipes, appliances and skin by turning hard limescale into non-encrusting aragonite — without removing the minerals.

Fitted under the sink, it filters and dynamises your drinking water: chlorine, bad tastes, pesticides and heavy metals are removed, while the minerals stay in.
Protects your home and your skin
Hard, encrusting limestone becomes aragonite — small, floury, loose crystals that no longer stick to your pipes. This crystallisation is created inside the sphere by:
- the friction of water on a thousand-year-old volcanic rock from the Auvergne's Chaîne des Puys;
- carbon-dioxide depletion caused by the expansion effect;
- the pressure of your water network.
This prevents limescale from building up and, with its curative effect, gently descales pipes without damaging them. The water then passes over activated carbon, which absorbs part of the chlorine and chemicals — so your skin feels softer and less irritated in the shower. Finally, a triple vortex dynamises the water for a hydrating, bioavailable result, just like mountain water.
What is aragonite?
Aragonite is a particular crystallisation of limestone — the same as the mother-of-pearl of oysters and corals. It has been valued for generations for its limescale-removing properties. Its key feature: it does not stick to pipes.
What is dynamisation?
As it travels through pipes, water flows linearly and becomes disorganised. Vortex dynamisation restores natural movement, increases the water's oxygen content and changes its molecular structure. The result is lively, soft, hydrating water — just like in the mountains.
Filtering and dynamising drinking water
- Thanks to its KDF + super-activated carbon filter, impurities are captured: chlorine, bad tastes, pesticides, chemicals, drug residues and heavy metals — while all mineral salts are kept.
- Once filtered, the water swirls at high speed in the dynamiser, like a mountain torrent.
